Marvin Hoffert Jazz has been performing in Kitsap County since 2015, when Marvin Hoffert migrated West to Bainbridge Island and hooked up with Carson Farley and Gary Grout. We love the beautiful tunes that we grew up with - the Ballads and the Swing Tunes from The Great American Songbook, the lilting Bossa’s that swept out of Brazil, and the moving Clave’s that danced in from Cuba. We play these tunes with respect, but also add some features of more modern jazz - We call this straight ahead jazz with a contemporary flare.

Brother Townsend is a trio based on the Olympic Peninsula. Their particular blend of original tunes range from straight blues across classic country and on into new Americana. Their lyrics a sharp and poignant, their melodies are catchier than a fly ball, and their act is well worth seeing.
This local group will be performing Friday, October 29th at the Marketplace at Pleasant Beach Village from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Eric Auckerman is a roots Americana musician who draws influence and inspiration from John Prine, Johnny Cash, Bill Withers, Lou Rawls, Gordon Lightfoot, Lightening Hopkins Guy Clark and others. He has performed in Europe, Canada, the West Coast and in Nashville, his music has been described as "heavy mellow" as his songs offer a blend of Americana but with European sensibilities. His guitar playing has elements of second-guessing and risk-taking but whose roots are in American Blues and-finger style folk circa the late 60's and early 70's. His voice can be likened to that of "70's Gold" but think baritone crooner with Bluesy nuance and warmth, nothing shrill and always breezy.
