Marvin Hoffert Jazz (Free Friday Concert Series)

Marvin Hoffert Jazz has been performing in Kitsap County since 2015, when Marvin Hoffert migrated West to Bainbridge Island and hooked up with Carson Farley and Gary Grout. We love the beautiful tunes that we grew up with - the Ballads and the Swing Tunes from The Great American Songbook, the lilting Bossa’s that swept out of Brazil, and the moving Clave’s that danced in from Cuba. We play these tunes with respect, but also add some features of more modern jazz - We call this straight ahead jazz with a contemporary flare.

Free Friday Music: The Pontunes (Marketplace)

Members of The Pontunes have been making music and having fun together for decades, playing a variety of clubs, parties, weddings and other private events over the years and building a music catalog that covers jazz, rock, singer-songwriters, R & B, standards and original songs written by several of the band members. Our Northwest roots are strong with most members growing up together in the Issaquah area. In fact, the name The Pontunes is a humorous play on the pontoons that support the Lake Washington floating bridges.
