Jes Pelton Performs Live at The Marketplace!
Jes has been singing her whole life, and has a diverse musical background ranging from choral music and musical theater, to jazz and indie pop. She currently plays live music in venues across the Seattle Metro area, performing original songs as well as putting her own spin on a wide-range of covers by artists such as Adele, Norah Jones, Lady Gaga, and Alicia Keys. Brother Townsend Performs Live at The Marketplace
Brother Townsend is a trio based on the Olympic Peninsula. Their particular blend of original tunes range from straight blues across classic country and on into new Americana. Their lyrics a sharp and poignant, their melodies are catchier than a fly ball, and their act is well worth seeing.
This local group will be performing Friday, October 29th at the Marketplace at Pleasant Beach Village from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Briar and Joe Seamons perform at the Marketplace
Both Briar and Joe Seamons grew up in tiny Pacific Northwest communities where their fathers worked in local paper mills. They met in 2014 at the Port Townsend Acoustic Blues Festival, where they began to bond over a shared love of Bessie Smith, dancing, and banjos. In 2016, the duo, now a couple, began performing jazz, blues and folk songs throughout the Northwest.
Together, in 2017, they began bringing teenaged musicians from South Seattle to join them at the annual PT Blues festival so that more youth, and especially students of African American ancestry, could connect with their cultural heritage. This work continues to this day, as a part of The Rhapsody Project, a non-profit music education program that is building a model for cultural sustainability through roots culture in America.
