Brother Townsend is a band based out of Port Townsend, Washington. Their sound and style fits loosely in the Americana genre, with solid deviations into Blues, Rock, and Classic Country. This being said, their music, original as it is, is of the rare sort that serves centrally as a most eloquent delivery mechanism for their equally touching lyrics.

Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, Nancy Erickson has studied music her entire life. “When I was growing up, all types of music were ever-present in my home. We listened to everything from Frank Sinatra, Don Ellis, Peggy Lee, & Louis Armstrong to The Beatles, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Frank Zappa, The Band, and soundtracks from musicals”. The music that filled her home became the foundation that would yield one of the more versatile musicians in the Seattle area. With influences like Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Dianne Reeves, and Peggy Lee, Nancy’s wide-ranging alto voice has been compared to Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald.
Due to a private rehearsal dinner for one of our wedding guests, The Marketplace Bar & Taproom will be closed from 3-9pm. We will still be offering Coffee, Pastries and Sandwiches from 8am-3pm. Although we will not be pouring our beers on tap or serving cocktails we still have our full wine bar open with a variety of wines to pick from. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you join us for wine by the glass or bottle!
