Jean Lenke and the Red Rose Project (Manor House Concert)

With a beautifully smooth and soulful voice, Pacific Northwest Jazz, Folk & Blues vocal artist Jean Lenke paints music in full color, with broad strokes and a free hand. As bandleader her approach to music is free spirited and bold, crossing boundaries and mixing genres, celebrating all the shades and hues life brings us here in the great Pacific. Jean’s Red Rose Quintet celebrates the many wonderful women composers and lyricists that have contributed to our extensive Jazz & Popular Music Catalogue! Each concert highlights music from the early 20th century to today, and is presented by some of the area’s most talented Jazz musicians. Music selections for The Manor House Concert will include pieces written by Dorothy Fields, Mary Lou Williams, Marian MacPartland, Abbey Lincoln, Dolly Parton, Lizz Wright, Joni Mitchell, K.D. Lang, Billy Holiday & more. Come experience the magic!
Concert musicians will include; Jean Lenke, Vocals, Nelda Swiggett, Piano, Rachael Contorer, Bass, Maria Wulf, Drums, & Tobi Stone, Saxophone.
