Brother Townsend is a four piece band based on the Olympic Peninsula of western Washington. They play rock music disguised as country or blues, depending on the mood. Their melodies harken back to classic bands such as CCR, while their lyrical prowess could conjure memories of the best of Petty or Dylan. Their live shows are absolute barn burners—at any given moment some will be dancing, while others will cry, while young lovers fall hopelessly into their madness. Theirs is working class music, written by and for the heart of humanity.
Whether playing Jazz grooves, swinging the Blues or rocking out to classic Pop tunes, the Josh Rawlings Trio puts a whole lot of soul into every note.
The JRT got its humble beginnings when bassist Nate Omdal, drummer Adam Kessler and I met at Cornish College of the Arts in 2001. They have been performing together for nearly 2 decades and their intuitive and heart-felt playing is very palpable at their shows.
The band has a rich history and eclectic repertoire that shows the versatility and depth of their seasoned musicianship. Considered one of the Northwest regions’ prized Jazz Trio’s and working rhythm sections. They've accompanied some of the top local vocalists in the region and have entertained countless events including performances for the Mayor of Seattle, the State Governor of Washington, Amazon, Microsoft, Bill Gates Foundation, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Boeing, Vulcan and more.
The JRT has release 2 albums since graduating from Cornish in 2005. They released their debut album 'Climbing Stairs' in 2008 and sophomore album ‘Swell' in 2016.
The JRT brings passionate energy and musical chemistry to each and every song they play. Together they specialize in captivating and genuine performances reminiscent of Trios by the likes of Oscar Peterson, Gene Harris, and Bill Evans. Nate, Adam and Josh love creating joyous and in-the-moment music for their audiences no matter the venue or occasion. They pride themselves with carrying the tradition the Trio while being modern-day Live Music messengers!

Bainbridge Island multi-instrumentalist, Steve Hall, delivers an eclectic acoustic/piano set list covering classic rock legends such as Elton John, Hendrix and Tom Petty, grunge-era classics from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as well as some soul vibes from Donny Hathaway and Allen Stone.
Stemming from the Lomax Project, Jayme Stone’s Folklife treats old field recordings not as time capsules, but as heirloom seeds passed down from a bygone generation. Planting these sturdy seeds in modern soil, this versatile gathering of musicians has cultivated vibrant Sea Island spirituals, Creole calypsos, and stomp-down Appalachian dance tunes for contemporary listeners. Their concerts and educational programs are moving, inventive, and participatory experiences that prove folk songs are indeed perennials for the people. The new album is out now on Borealis Records.

Most recently on the Olympic Peninsula, his band, the Roundabouts, has been playing swing, early jazz, blues, bossas and sambas, some Gypsy, and […]
