Rupert Wates (Free Friday Marketplace Concert)

Since coming to the US Rupert Wates has won more than 50 songwriting and performing awards (see AWARDS page on the website).  In 2018 he was a finalist at the Kerrville New Folk Song Contest, and an Emerging Artist at Falconridge Folk Festival.  In the last five years alone, 30 of his songs have been covered by other artists, including three tribute albums to his material recorded by performers in Nashville, Denver and Los Angeles.  He averages 120 live shows a year, in every state in the US, in Canada and in Europe. In recent years, house concerts have become Rupert‘s specialty, and The Listening Room Network has voted him their ‘Artist Of The Year’ in both 2013 and 2016.
